The Showing Off Science Digital Fair gathers voices of scholars and initiatives who present their individual teaching formats, research and interventions regarding the dissemination of knowledge via the platform trember. The digital fair will also allow the audience of Teaching in Exile to get together for an open networking event after the presentations.

18 Nov 2021 14:30-16:00

You will have the chance to attend eight presentations of international scholars in different virtual rooms and may walk to a topic and speaker of your liking. Each presenter will begin his or her lecture at 14:30 and will be open for a discussion with the audience for one hour.

Trember is a virtual platform that gives audiences the possibility to walk between different digital rooms. You will be able to move freely from presentation to presentation during the conference. The platform itself can easily be accessed with your browser, so there is no need to download any application.

For detailed information, please download our trember manual by clicking on the PDF.

Below we have also listed a few things you need to be aware of while using trember.

In case you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact us via e-mail.

Browser: Please use Firefox or Google Chrome. Other browers can lead to problems while using trember!

Picture & Sounds: Please close all other applications that activate your audio and camera (like skype, zoom or webex). As long as you are using trember, you can only use your camera and your microphone in that application. This means you need to close all other applications used during the conference (webex) during the digital fair.

Application: You do not need to download the app to participate via trember; we will send you the link to trember upon your registration. The link will also be posted during the conference.

Instant Translation Plug-Ins: Please deactivate any instant translation plug-in to use trember.

Frozen Screen: If youre screen freezes please close trember and start it again. If it still does not work reinitialise your computer or device.

Trember-Rooms: Each room has a capacity of 25 people, so if you cannot enter a room it means that the maximum capacity has already been reached. Please walk to a different room instead.
